About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Corporate is a senior leadership position responsible for strengthening SEARMS' corporate, governance and organisational systems. The role will work closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, staff, Board and external stakeholders and will have oversight across key corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

- Corporate governance, compliance and organisational systems

- Policy development, implementation and continuous improvement

- Human resources and workforce support

- Risk management and regulatory compliance

- Procurement, contracts and corporate administration

- Executive and Board reporting

- Organisational planning and performance

- Business development, strategic partnerships and identification of funding and growth opportunities

- Supporting the development of new initiatives and opportunities that strengthen SEARMS' long-term sustainability and community impact

- Supporting SEARMS' ongoing reform and continuous improvement program

About you

We are looking for a highly organised and capable leader who can operate strategically while remaining comfortable working across the practical requirements of a growing community organisation.

You will bring robust corporate governance and organisational capability, sound judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across staff, community, government, regulators and partners.

Experience within community housing, Aboriginal organisations, the not-for-profit sector, government or another regulated service environment will be highly regarded.

An understanding of Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe and respectful ways of working are important to this role.
