Our client is a well‑established captive finance business operating across Australia and Current Zealand, backed by a global parent group. With a growing loan and lease portfolio and continued investment in Finance, they're seeking a Financial Accountant on a 12‑month contract to own month‑end close, statutory reporting and consolidation across multiple entities, and drive process improvement in a highly manual workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end month-end close for the broker entity and NZ entity (journals: accruals, provisions, depreciation, intercompany, eliminations)
Review P&L;/balance sheet movements at entity and consolidated level
Support year-end statutory and consolidated financial statements
Own balance sheet reconciliations, support external audit and statutory accounts process
Streamline month-end/reporting processes (templates, spreadsheets, folder structures) for accuracy and efficiency
Partner with the Financial Controller on consolidation, eliminations and Group reporting to parent entities
Use advanced Excel to automate manual models and speed up reporting
