Medical receptionist (Maternity Leave Cover – 12 Month Contract)

About the Role
n
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Medical receptionist to join our growing specialist medical practice on a 12 month maternity leave contract, with a potential to work casual afterwards as sick or holiday relief or potentially part-time.
n
This is a full time Monday to Friday position with no weekend work, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee the day-to-day operations in the clinic.
n
Answering and managing incoming calls, greeting patients, booking appointments, attending to patient enquiries and general administrative duties.
n
Ensure exceptional patient service and efficient clinic workflows.
n
Exceptional communication ability with a high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
n
Listening to dictations and transcribing doctor's correspondence letters.
n
Manage practice facilities, equipment and resources.
n
Oversee billing, invoicing, banking and accounts processes.
n




Ensure accurate Medicare, Workers Compensation and private billing.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
n
n
Previous experience as a medical receptionist.
n
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
n
Experience within a specialist medical practice or healthcare workplace.
n
Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
n
The ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
n
A professional, patient-focused approach and commitment to high-quality service.
n
Experience with medical software program Genie would be an advantage.
n
Would be an advantage if you have
dictation/transcription
experience.
n
