Your Team:

The Hosting Database team is part
of Technology
Infrastructure. We are responsible for the
operational support and
management
of business-critical database
applications
across ASX
across SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza,



AWS Aurora and other platforms
.
We provide
database
design,
deployment
and
project
support
for
critical projects
.
We are
currently
expanding our
AWS
Aurora
and RDS
database footprint, which is provid
ing
an exciting
chance
for team members
to
build
their
cloud
skills
.

Your responsibilities:
Design
and build
scalable and secure database solutions
using Oracle
, SQL Server
and other platforms
Investigate and resolve database operational issues for business-critical systems,
working
as part of a 24/7 support roster
Provide technical leadership, including mentoring team members and making
proposals for improvement to stakeholders.
Appl
y
technical expertise to maintain and optimise databases
,
including
Drive the
adoption of tools and automated processes for effective database management and delivery
.
Ensure database operational procedures and documentation are current and effective
.
Must have:
Deep
technical
expertise in Oracle Database
architecture and
internals
Extensive
experience
as a
n Oracle
database
administrat
or
in a corporate environment
Some
experience supporting




at least one of
SQL Server, Amazon Aurora
/
RDS,
PostgreSQL
or
Netezza
Practical experience of building and migrating
Oracle
and/or SQL Server
databases
Experience with high

availability and disaster recovery solutions
Nice to have:
Financial services i
ndustry experience or knowledge
Experience

RDS

Aurora, CloudWatch and
other relevant AWS services
Familiarity with
Windows Server
and/
