Your New RoleSydney State Govt. is seeking an experienced Service Desk Analyst to provide onsite and remote IT support to staff in the Sydney office. This APS5-equivalent role sits within the Information & Technology Solutions (ITS) Branch and supports day-to-day IT operations, incident and service request management, and end-user technology.
Key responsibilities
Provide high-quality onsite and remote IT support, including executive support
Manage incidents and requests in line with ITIL processes
Administer user accounts, access and permissions
Support end-user devices, peripherals and asset management
Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues
Maintain documentation and contribute to service improvements
Ensure compliance with IT security policies
What you'll need to succeed
Windows 11




Microsoft Intune
Active Directory & Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
Microsoft 365, Office applications and Exchange Online
End-user hardware (Microsoft Surface Pro, Apple iPhones, Cisco videoconferencing, MFDs)
Basic network troubleshooting (VPN, LAN)
ITSM tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
