You will lead and contribute to
cutting-edge
human–robot
/AI
interaction research within a dynamic computing school. You will publish in leading venues, collaborate across disciplines, and build your independent research programme.
What you will deliver:
Conduct independent research in human–robot interaction, delivering high-quality experimental outcomes and peer-reviewed publications.
Develop and manage research plans, timelines, and documentation, ensuring
accurate
records of experiments and analyses.
Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentoring through lectures, tutorials, laboratory activities, and student research projects.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, strengthening the
School's
human–robot
/AI
interaction research profile and outputs.
Participate in seminars, committees, and outreach, supporting funding bids and effective dissemination of research outcomes.
You may be a great fit if you:
Hold a PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Human–Robot Interaction,
Human-AI
Interaction
or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrate a strong publication record in leading HRI, robotics, or human–computer interaction conferences and journals.
Perform independent, innovative research while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams and partnerships.
Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to experimental data,




maintaining
meticulous and reproducible research records.
Communicate complex research concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through writing and presentations.
Manage time and priorities with minimal supervision, engaging constructively with students, colleagues, and external collaborators.
