We are partnering with a prestigious consulting services organisation with a significant footprint across the energy sector. They are currently supporting a valued end client that is undergoing a period of strategic recalibration focused on operational uplift, with particular emphasis on process optimisation and cost efficiency.
As part of this initiative, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operational Efficiency Consultant to deliver a high-impact, short-term engagement. This role will centre on conducting a comprehensive review of current operating expenditure, identifying inefficiencies, and uncovering opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, improve cost discipline, and drive long-term sustainability.
About the role
You will take a structured, evidence-based approach to:
Review current operating models
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimise processes
Develop transparent, data-driven recommendations for future state operations
Assess and articulate associated risks, trade-offs, and implementation considerations
Present findings and insights to senior stakeholders




This is a highly visible engagement requiring both analytical rigour and strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate complex environments and deliver pragmatic outcomes.
About you
You are a seasoned consultant with a track record of delivering operational improvement, cost optimisation, or transformation initiatives, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or asset-intensive sectors.
Your background may include:
Strategy & Operations Consulting
Performance Improvement / Value Creation
Business Transformation / Operating Model Design
Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence
Experience in sectors such as energy, utilities, renewables, or broader infrastructure will be highly regarded.
You will bring:
Proven experience delivering evidence-based recommendations in complex environments
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive level
The ability to balance commercial outcomes with operational and strategic considerations
A structured, consulting-led approach with clear communication and presentation capability
