About the Role
We are seeking a
General Practitioner (GP) or suitably qualified medical practitioner
to provide on-site clinical support during imaging procedures at our O'Connor and Metro clinics, particularly during the administration of contrast media.
This is a safety-focused role requiring the ability to recognise and manage contrast reactions and respond to medical emergencies that may arise in a radiology setting. The role offers structured, predictable hours and is well suited to practitioners seeking flexible clinical work outside of traditional general practice.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site medical support during imaging procedures, including contrast-enhanced studies
Recognise and manage contrast media reactions
Respond to general medical emergencies within the clinic environment
Administer emergency medications (e.g. adrenaline, antihistamines, IV fluids)




Perform resuscitation and life support, including airway management
Manage allergic and anaphylactic reactions
Work collaboratively with radiologists, radiographers, and clinic staff
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current
AHPRA registration
as a Medical Practitioner
Demonstrated competence in emergency and acute care management
Confidence administering emergency medications and performing resuscitation
Strong clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Availability to work
Wednesday to Friday afternoons (2:30pm – 5:30pm)
Flexibility to pick up additional casual shifts when required
