Shape enterprise-wide risk strategy and influence decision-making
The Head of Risk, Assurance & Compliance is a critical leadership role at Capricorn, responsible for shaping and embedding our enterprise risk strategy. Partnering closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board, you will provide independent, insight-led challenge to ensure risk supports strong decision-making, performance and long-term value creation.

Role Purpose
This senior leadership role is accountable for driving a mature, forward-looking and commercially aligned risk capability across Capricorn. You will:
Lead the development and ongoing evolution of Capricorn's enterprise risk strategy aligned to business objectives
Provide forward-looking risk insights to support executive and Board decision-making
Embed risk into business planning, transformation and capital allocation decisions
Oversee risk, compliance, assurance, data governance and information management frameworks
Drive a culture of accountability, ensuring risk ownership sits with the business
Provide independent challenge to senior leaders on risk exposure and control effectiveness
Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative, risk-aware culture
Act as a trusted advisor across the organisation, influencing outcomes through insight and commercial acumen
What
you'll bring
Significant senior leadership experience in enterprise risk management within a complex or regulated environment
Proven ability to influence executive and Board level decision-making through risk insight
Expertise across risk, assurance, compliance and governance frameworks




Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
Experience building and leading high-performing teams
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build trust
