The Role
The Creative Account Manager sits at the front door of the In-House Agency at 7-Eleven Australia - the connection point between our marketers and our creative team.
This is an agency role, but it's an in-house agency, and that difference matters. You're not pitching for new business or chasing retainers. Your clients are colleagues in the next team over, and our team is being benchmarked against external agencies on quality, cost, and speed.
The role combines what some agencies split into two: Account Management and Traffic Management. You'll be both the front-of-house relationship lead
and
the person in Monday.com and Float allocating work, chasing assets, and keeping the team's capacity visible. If admin side is not desirable, this may not be the right role for you. If you like running a tight toolset as much as you like running a meeting, keep reading!
You'll report to the Creative Operations Lead and work closely alongside a Producer.
Key Responsibilities
Your job is to translate feedback and actions between the marketing and creative teams: shaping briefs with stakeholders so creatives get what they need to do their best work, then keeping projects moving through the team with clarity and momentum.
You'll be the person brief owners trust to listen, push back when it matters, and represent creative thinking at the front of the room – and the person inside the team who keeps the schedule honest, the WIP visible,

and the work moving.
Stakeholder and brief leadership (40%)
Be the first point of contact for marketing stakeholders across our business areas
Lead brief conversations by shaping, challenging, and refining requests until they're clear enough for the team to act on
Translate between client language and creative language, in both directions
Represent the creative team in stakeholder meetings, status calls, and reviews
Hold the line on scope, timing, and quality without making the process feel heavy
Intake, triage and prioritisation (20%)
Own the brief intake process end-to-end: review every brief for completeness, clarity, and priority before it hits the team
Apply our tiered briefing model to route work appropriately based on complexity
Clarify scope, timing, and resourcing with stakeholders before commitments are made
Negotiate trade-offs when capacity is tight: protect the team and the work by offering stakeholders smart solutions
Resourcing, scheduling and traffic (25%)
Run day-to-day traffic across the creative team: allocate jobs, sequence work, and keep the schedule healthy
Maintain a live view of resources and capacity in Float and project status in Monday.com
Coordinate closely with the Producer on production-heavy jobs
Spot bottlenecks, conflicts, and capacity risks early, resolving them before they become delivery risks and escalating appropriately
Chase what needs chasing: feedback, approvals, missing assets
Tools, tracking and reporting (15%)
Keep Monday.com clean, current, and trustworthy: it's the team's source of truth and the stakeholder communication layer
Support reporting on delivery performance, capacity utilisation, and team output
Drive small, continuous improvements to how we use our tools in lockstep with the Creative Operations Lead
What we're looking for
Someone who gets energy from working directly with people, understanding their motivations and helping them find solutions.
Proven experience in creative account management
and
hands-on traffic management. We need both, in one person. Backgrounds at independent agencies, in-house teams, or hybrid producer/AM roles would know what to expect.

Genuinely comfortable in Monday.com and Float (or equivalents). These aren't tools or processes you delegate - you are in the driver's seat.
Strong instincts for navigating ambiguity: briefs; priorities; stakeholders
A confident, clear communicator both verbally and in writing. You can comfortably hold the room and you can respectfully hold the line, pushing back when required.
Smart with tools, but tool-agnostic. What we use today might not be what we use in 18 months, and that's okay.
