We're currently looking for a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in quick paced manufacturing environment. You should be able to cover some after-hour shifts as and when required.
Ideal candidate
Holds a current Mechanical trade certification – Fitter and Turner/Machinist.
Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills.




Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment like pumps, conveyors, etc.
Comfortable working in fast paced environment
Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience required.
Reliable, hands-on and team oriented.
Indicative tasks include
Preventive maintenance and checks as per the work orders
Overhauls of various site equipment like pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators
Breakdown maintenance – identify issues and repair as necessary.
Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover.
Preparation work in workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover.
