This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced freight and logistics environment. You will need significant, recent forklift operating experience, strong attention to safety and the ability to handle wide-ranging freight accurately and efficiently. The position will commence on a casual basis, working full time hours, with warehouse operating hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key responsibilities
Loading and unloading trucks carrying loose and palletised cargo
Manoeuvring loose cargo on pallets safely through a busy warehouse
Double-stacking metal freight cages, carefully aligning connecting pins to ensure cages are securely and safely stacked
Supporting forklift operations across freight and third-party logistics (3PL) divisions
Scanning, sorting and moving freight, including manual handling
Completing forklift pre-start checks and maintaining a safe, organised work area

About you




Significant, recent experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse or freight environment
Confidence handling varied loads and manoeuvring safely in confined spaces
Experience stacking freight and loading and unloading trucks
A strong focus on load stability, accuracy and safe work practices
Reliability, a positive attitude and a willingness to support the team
Availability to work full time hours on a casual basis
Reach forklift experience would be an advantage but is not essential
