We are partnering with a well-established and growing distribution business seeking a driven and technically strong Accountant to join the team on an initial short-term contract.
This role is ideal for someone who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure, work closely with senior leadership and accelerate their long-term career development.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, month-end processes, management reporting, compliance and business partnering within a collaborative and high-performing finance function.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, is naturally curious and analytical, and is looking to build a long-term career in commercial finance.
Key Responsibilities
Month-end and year-end close processes
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and journals
Financial and management reporting
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Variance analysis and insightful commentary
Supporting external audit requirements
Driving process improvements and systems enhancements
Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting for senior leadership
About You




CA or CPA qualified (essential)
2-5 year's experience, ideally from Big 4 or mid-tier, not essential
Robust technical accounting foundation
Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
High attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude
Immediately available or on short notice (highly regarded)
