As the Senior Officer for Na
rrm Scholars Orientation & Transition,
you'll
play a pivotal role in supporting underrepresented students at the University of Melbourne.
You'll
have the opportunity to design and deliver high-impact initiatives, including a large-scale Pre-Orientation Camp and Welcome Pack distribution. Your work will directly contribute to improving student support and widening participation, aligning with the University's strategic commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design and Deliver Impactful Programs: Plan and coordinate large-scale events like the Pre-Orientation Camp and One Day Program to enhance student connection and belonging.
Manage Logistics and Resources: Oversee staff recruitment, training, and rostering for up to 50 student casuals during peak periods, ensuring smooth program delivery.
Collaborate Across the University: Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders to support coordinated delivery of enrichment initiatives.
Enhance Student Transition: Develop and implement strategies to support first-year Narrm Scholars in their critical
early stages
of university life.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a dedicated professional with experience in student services,
possessing
solid
organisational
skills and the ability to plan and deliver impactful programs for diverse student cohorts in a tertiary setting.
You may also have:




Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experience.
Have
demonstrated
experience in student services, understanding the challenges faced by diverse student populations.
Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
Be results-focused with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Have experience in managing external suppliers for large-scale events.
Demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive university community.
