Senior Tax Accountant | 6-Month Contract

An opportunity has arisen for a technically solid Tax Accountant to join a market-leading Australian organisation during a period of significant tax compliance, remediation and transformation activity.
Working within a high-performing tax function, you'll partner closely with senior tax leaders across Australia and New Zealand, supporting a broad range of corporate tax, GST, reporting and strategic project initiatives.
This role would suit a CA/CPA qualified tax professional coming from either a Big 4, mid-tier or large corporate environment who enjoys working across both compliance and advisory-focused work.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and support corporate income tax returns across a complex group structure
Assist with tax effect accounting, deferred tax calculations and quarterly tax reporting
Support GST, withholding tax and ongoing compliance obligations
Contribute to tax remediation and historical rectification projects
Assist with ATO review and audit preparation activities
Support tax governance, transfer pricing and thin capitalisation initiatives
Partner with finance and operational stakeholders on tax-related matters
Contribute to tax transformation and process improvement projects
About You
CA or CPA qualified




4+ years' experience within Big 4, mid-tier or commercial tax
Strong knowledge of Australian corporate tax and GST legislation
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
Comfortable operating autonomously while partnering with a range of stakeholders
