ou will
own
and run mobile and web as a unified product system, ensuring transparent product ownership, strong technical alignment, and consistent delivery across all customer-facing digital experiences.
You'll
also
alignment between product intent, engineering execution, and customer outcomes across sales and service.
About the Team
Telstra Digital is Telstra's e-commerce and digital customer service channel for consumer and small business customers, supporting millions every week across platforms like Telstra.com.au and the
MyTelstra
app. We also manage Telstra Plus, our loyalty program with over
6 million members
.
Our team of more than 400 people, based in Australia and India, includes content strategists, engineers, product owners, designers, CX specialists, writers, analysts, accessibility experts, as well as commercial and operations staff. Our responsibilities extend to messaging platforms used by our call
centres
and the ongoing development of AI-powered chat solutions. We also have
a number of
whole-of-company responsibilities such as accessibility and our websites which serve all customers and stakeholders.
What
You'll
Do
The role sits within
our
Digital Customer Success
space
and leads the teams responsible for building
and running mobile and web experiences.
You will be
accountable for what is built and how it is delivered, working in lockstep with engineering leadership who are accountable for how it is engineered and scaled.
In this role,
you'll




have accountability for:
Product Ownership & Management (Primary)
Establish
ing
and lead
ing
a strong product ownership model across mobile and web
Ensur
ing
Product Owners are accountable for outcomes, prioritisation, and decisions
Maintain
ing
clear ownership boundaries across journeys, platforms, and services
Driv
ing
product strategy and backlog aligned to commercial priorities
Coach
ing
Product Owners into senior operators with end-to-end accountability
Technical Understanding & Engineering Partnership
Maintain
ing
strong working understanding of mobile, web, and API architectures
Ensur
ing
product decisions are grounded in technical capability and constraints
Partner
ing
closely with Engineering Leads and Chapter Leads on delivery planning and trade-offs
Support
ing
alignment on scalable, reusable solutions across teams
Balan
cing
delivery pace with long-term platform integrity
Delivery & Team Leadership (Mobile + Web)
Lead
ing
teams responsible for building and running mobile and web applications (iOS, Android, web)

a balanced delivery approach across frontend and backend

About you
To be successful in this role,
you'll
need:
Proven experience leading senior Product Owners or product teams at scale
Strong
track record
of owning product strategy, backlog, and outcomes
Experience leading teams that build and
operate
mobile and web applications
Ability to coach and lift product capability across a team
Strong working knowledge of mobile (iOS/Android), web, and API architectures
Comfortable operating alongside engineering leadership and making informed trade offs
Ability to translate between product intent and technical delivery
Robust capability managing delivery across multiple teams and disciplines
Ability to
maintain
delivery performance in complex environments
