HYPAR Residential Care is looking for experienced, qualified Youth Workers to join our teams across Moreton Bay and Ipswich.
You'll support young people in residential care who may have experienced significant trauma, instability and complex behaviours, helping create a home setting that is safe, therapeutic, stable and predictable.
About the role
Build genuine, professional relationships with young people
Support routines, emotional regulation, life skills and personal goals
Plan and participate in activities and community experiences
Respond calmly and professionally to complex behaviours
Support health, wellbeing and positive lifestyle choices
Assist with cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry and other household tasks
Complete case notes, incident reports and required documentation
Work collaboratively with your house team and leadership
About you
A Certificate IV or higher in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or a relevant qualification
Previous experience working with young people and/or complex support environments
Robust professional boundaries and emotional intelligence




The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Excellent communication and documentation skills
A genuine understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
The reliability and flexibility required for 24/7 residential care
Most importantly, you need to be someone who can keep showing up.

The roster
Residential care operates 24/7.
You must be available to work a minimum of 4 sleepovers per week.
Certificate IV or above in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or relevant qualification
Paid Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
Paid NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
Willingness to obtain Child Safety LCS2 screening
Open Queensland Driver Licence
Reliable Apple or Android smartphone
