As aTrades Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role within our Production Centre located in Wacol, providing support to technicians, maintaining workshop operations, and assisting with mechanical tasks in a safety-focused environment.
About The Role
Reporting to the Defence Project Manager, you will provide essential support to the workshop team and assist with a variety of workshop activities.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting technicians with workshop activities and mechanical tasks
Completing work instructions as directed
Collecting parts from the warehouse and suppliers
Maintaining workshop stock levels including oils, rags and consumables
Cleaning and maintaining workshop common areas
Emptying waste bins and ensuring a tidy work environment
Supporting special projects as required
Contributing to safe and efficient workshop operations.
About You
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in workshop environments
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Current Driver's Licence
Experience working in a workshop, manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous but not essential
