About the RoleWe're seeking a skilledElectrical Engineerto join our Engineering Design Team, specialising inautomotive electrical systems, vehicle integration and custom truck solutions.
You'll work across a variety of vehicle modification and new‐build projects, designing, developing and improving electrical systems and products for light trucks, government vehicles and commercial fleets.
This hands‐on position gives you the opportunity to follow your designs frominitial concept through to installation and finished vehicle, working closely with our engineering, auto electrical, fabrication and workshop teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and developautomotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses and vehicle electrical accessories.
Design and document electrical systems for custom truck builds and vehicle modifications.
Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, circuit designs and electrical drawings.
Design and improveplug‐and‐play wiring harnesses and electrical components.
Select appropriate electrical components, protection devices, connectors, relays, switches and control systems.
Ensure electrical designs meet relevantADR, Australian Standards, OEM and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with auto electricians, engineers, fabricators and workshop teams to develop practical and manufacturable solutions.
Assist with vehicle electrical integration,



troubleshooting and commissioning.
Modify and update designs based on client requirements, vehicle specifications and workshop feedback.
Manage technical documentation, BOMs, specifications and revision control.
Conduct electrical calculations and testing to validate designs and system performance.
Assist the sales team with quotations, costings and technical input.
Support the development and continuous improvement of Strike's electrical product range.
Provide engineering support during new builds, refurbishments and repairs.
Maintain adherence to engineering best practices, safety standards and internal procedures.
What We're Looking ForDegree or Diploma inElectrical Engineeringor equivalent.
Experience withautomotive electrical systemsis highly regarded.
Familiarity with relevant Australian automotive standards, ADR requirements and vehicle electrical systems is desirable.
Experience with CAD software;SolidWorksexperience is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A practical, hands‐on approach with the ability to work closely with workshop and installation teams.
Strong desire toinvent, test, troubleshoot and optimiseis highly regarded.
Self‐motivated and able to take ownership of projects in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented workplace.
Previous experience inautomotive, heavy vehicle, transport or vehicle modification industriesis desirable but not essential.
