We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader to join Whites Group asFinancial Controller.
This role could suit an experienced Financial Controller looking for a broader, more influential position in a hands-on business environment, or a strongFinance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant, Group Financial Accountant or Assistant Financial Controllerready to take the next step.
Based at ourCentral Office in Glendenning, this senior leadership position reports to theGroup Chief Financial Officerandleads a Finance team of four.
This role would be ideal for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise withcommercial thinking, curiosity and the confidence to build trusted relationshipsacross the business.
You'll enjoy balancing the discipline of financial control with the opportunity toinfluence strategy, support better decision-makingand make a genuine impact on business performance.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes andhelping others understand the story behind the numbers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Deliveringaccurate and timelymanagement andfinancial reporting
Leadingbudgeting, forecasting and cash flowplanning




Strengtheningfinancial controls, governanceand statutory compliance
Coordinating audit, taxation and regulatory requirements
Supporting strategic initiatives, investments and business cases
Improving working capital, profitability and operational decision-making
Simplifying, standardising andautomating finance processes
Enhancing management reports, dashboards and access to financial information
Coaching anddeveloping the Finance team
Contributing as a key member of theSenior Leadership Team
You will have:
5+ years' experienceacross financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls or commercial finance
Experience leading, supervising, coaching or developing others, with theability to build capability the finance team
A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
CA or CPA qualification, or substantial progress towards completion
Proven budgeting, forecasting and financial-analysis capability
Knowledge of accounting standards, compliance obligations and internal controls
Experience with financial systems or enterprise resource planning platforms
Strong spreadsheet, modelling and data-analysis skills
Exposure to a multi-entity, multi-site or multi-currency environment
