About the Role
We're seeking a Pet Claims Consultant to join our Claims team.
In this customer-facing role, you'll work directly with pet owners, veterinarians, and stakeholders to ensure claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and with compassion.
From lodgement to closure, you'll be part of a team that makes a real difference for people and their pets when they need it most.
Assessing, processing, and managing pet insurance claims in line with policies and guidelines
Reviewing veterinary reports and invoices to determine eligibility and coverage
Communicating empathetically with pet owners, keeping them informed and supported throughout the claims process
Liaising with veterinarians and clinics to gather essential information
Identifying and reporting potential fraudulent activity
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations




Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims team
About you...
Experience in insurance claims or financial services
Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to show empathy and build rapport
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
Confidence using data entry systems and office applications
Negotiation and investigative skills, particularly with customers and service providers
