MACHINERY OPERATOR - Vac Truck | 5T Excavator | Posi Track | Trucks
Taylors Treelopping Pty Ltd – Atherton QLD
Vac Truck | 5T Excavator | Posi Track | Trucks
Casual - Full time | Atherton, FNQ | Immediate Start
Sick of sitting in the same machine every day?
We're looking for a switched‐on Machinery Operator who wants more than just a seat and a set of controls.
At Taylors Treelopping, no two weeks are the same.
One day you might be hydro excavating around underground services, the next you're on a 5T excavator or Posi Track removing trees, loading gear, preparing equipment for a remote job or helping get the yard ready for the next crew.
We want someone who sees what needs doing — and gets it done.
Your main role will be operating our Vac Truck, including:
Excavation around trees, infrastructure & sensitive areas
Local and remote projects
Daily machine inspections & basic maintenance
You'll also get your hands on:
5T Excavators
Posi Tracks
Loaders
Tippers
Our work stretches from Townsville to Cape York, the Torres Strait and across regional Queensland.
That means variety, remote work, changing environments and plenty of opportunity to learn.
Rainforest, red dirt, tropical beaches, remote jobs and everything in between.
If you enjoy getting out of the yard and actually doing things, you'll fit in here.
You'll be someone who:
Holds a current HR licence
Has a White/Blue Card (General Safety Induction Card)
Can operate machinery confidently
Has good mechanical awareness
Looks after equipment like it's their own
Can work without someone standing over them
Notices problems and speaks up
Takes pride in a clean, organised yard and worksite
Wants responsibility rather than avoiding it
We set clear expectations, give you the tools to do the job and expect you to take ownership.
For the right person, this can grow into a bigger role.
We're looking for someone who becomes the trusted set of hands around our plant, equipment and yard.
The person who knows:
What's ready?
What's broken?
What's missing?
What needs doing next?
If that's already the sort of operator you are, we want to hear from you.
Casual - Full-time position
3-month probation with permanent employment for the right person
Local FNQ work + occasional remote projects
Living Away from Home Allowances
Variety of machinery and work
Opportunity to take ownership and grow with the business
Possible short-term accommodation in Atherton for the right person relocating

We're growing — but we're still big on the things that matter:
Good people.
Good gear.

Get the job done properly and most importantly - SAFETY
We're not looking for someone who needs to be told every move.
We're looking for a good operator who can get in, get organised and get stuck into it.
READY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?
