We are currently seeking a motivated and career-drivenjunior to mid-level Finance Managerwho is looking to grow professionally within a fast-paced hospitality and labour services setting.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong payroll and finance experience who is ready to further develop their leadership and operational finance capabilities.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day payroll and finance operations across multiple JHS hotel sites nationally.
This position has a strong focus on payroll governance, financial reporting and operational finance support within a fast-paced hospitality and labour services environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Operations and site leadership teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with HIGA and Fair Work requirements, and support the overall financial performance of the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, detail-oriented and looking to continue growing their career within a supportive and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support payroll operations across multiple hotel sites
Ensure payroll processing is accurate, compliant and completed within deadlines
Review timesheets, rosters, labour reports and payroll data




Monitor labour costs, productivity and payroll discrepancies
Support payroll compliance with HIGA, Fair Work and superannuation obligations
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
Assist with budgeting, reporting and operational finance analysis
Prepare payroll and financial reports for Management
Work closely with HR and Operations teams regarding staffing and payroll matters
Support finance process improvements and system administration (Xero / Employment Hero)
Maintain accurate payroll and financial records
Assist in identifying financial risks and operational improvement opportunities
Requirements
Good finance, payroll governance and labour costing capability
Ability to manage payroll operations in a high-volume workforce environment
Good understanding of labour costing and operational reporting
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Knowledge of HIGA and Fair Work compliance
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with accounting and payroll systems for at least 3 years.
Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems preferred
Experience using Employment Hero payroll system will be highly regarded and considered an advantage
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting software (SUN, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with BAS preparation and lodgement
Experience in financial reporting preparation
