About the role
Join a leading clinical research team at Ingham Institute and Liverpool Hospital, where we are advancing the understanding and treatment of liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Our Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology delivers innovative research across digital health, value-based healthcare, patient-centred care, and complex gastrointestinal conditions, working collaboratively on national and international research studies and clinical trials.
We are seeking a full‐time Clinical Research Assistant (1.0 FTE) to join our team on a 12‐month contract.
In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to innovative research projects that leverage digital health technologies and large‐scale clinical datasets to improve outcomes for patients with liver and gastrointestinal diseases.
With a particular focus on IBD and liver disease,



this position offers a unique opportunity to combine research excellence with patient‐facing clinical activities, supporting the delivery of impactful, real‐world healthcare research.
About You
Bachelor's degree in a health, science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Previous experience in clinical or health research, including working with databases and/or registries.
Strong analytical, problem‐solving and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to interpret data and use statistical software such as R, SPSS or SAS.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
Willingness to learn new technologies and coding skills, including SQL.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and audiences.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, exercising sound judgement and professionalism.
Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and alignment with the Ingham Institute's values.




This position as classified as a Category A worker (as outlined in the NSW Health Occupational Health policy) – mandatory vaccination is required.
