National Business Development Manager - Municipal Water & Wastewater
$110K - $130K per year + Comm + Car + Super
Fluidquip Australia is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and commercially focused National Business Development Manager – Municipal Water & Wastewater to build upon our success in supplying water treatment equipment to councils and water authorities throughout Australia.
Building on our success, we see significant potential for growth as more and more jurisdictions invest to meet Health Based Targets, support growing demand, and increase water re-use.
We also foresee significant opportunities in building relationships with new engineering contractors and consultants.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our municipal portfolio and building strong client relationships across Australia.
You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to promote Fluidquip's broad portfolio of technologies.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of a supportive team in a growing SME that values initiative, collaboration, and a commitment to customer outcomes.
Key responsibilitiesServicing and maintaining relationships with existing customers
Proactively acquiring new customers
Initiating technical sales visits and presentations
Quotation and tender preparation
Maintaining accurate customer and system information in our CRM
Preparation of monthly sales forecasts
Preparation of marketing plans in liaison with internal colleagues
Attendance at trade exhibitions
Liaise with field service and support technicians to maximise customer satisfaction
About youThe role will suit an experienced,



self-motivated professional who is interested in developing expertise in industrial water treatment andiscommitted to helping our customers succeed.
You must be prepared to devote significant time and effort in order to drive sales into new and existing markets.
The role will require extensive travel within Australia and occasional overseas travel may be required.
The successful candidate will be the outward face of the company to the municipal water and wastewater markets.
Solid business development, communication, and organisation skills are critical.
This is not an entry-level business development position - we're seeking a commercially astute professional who understands how to navigate complex customer environments, identify growth opportunities and deliver long-term value.
Ideally, you possess >5 years of experience in a sales or BDM role in a technology-driven B2B supplier to the municipal water or wastewater sector.
Previous experience in, or knowledge of, the water treatment sector, particularly in the fields of UV and ozone capital equipment, will be highly regarded.
A lucrative, uncapped commission structure is offered to attract the best possible candidates.
