Job Description
Kennedy Transport is a boutique trucking company based in Brisbane, looking for a reliable rigid truck driver to join the team. You will be driving around Metro Brisbane and Ipswich, with the occasional work down the coast, working a couple of days per week, and sometimes full weeks when needed, with no weekend work.

Key responsibilities
n
Transport chilled and frozen freight to customers while meeting agreed delivery times and routes.
n
Maintain the correct temperature throughout loading, transport and delivery, including monitoring and recording temperatures where required.
n
Load freight safely, securely and in a way that protects products and maintains cold-chain integrity.
n
Complete delivery dockets, manifests, proof-of-delivery records, temperature logs and any other required paperwork or electronic records.
n
Conduct pre-start and post-trip checks and report mechanical, refrigeration or safety issues promptly.
n
Keep the vehicle and delivery equipment clean and follow applicable food-safety and cold-chain procedures.
n
Plan and manage multiple local deliveries efficiently while allowing for traffic, loading times and temperature-control requirements.
n
Ensure goods remain secure and accounted for throughout the delivery run.

Communicate professionally with customers, confirm deliveries and deal appropriately with shortages, damaged goods or delivery issues.

About you
n
Current Queensland MR or HR driver's licence, depending on the vehicle you'll be operating
n
Clean driving record and a strong commitment to secure driving practices
n
Reliable, punctual and dependable work ethic
n
Positive attitude with a practical, can-do approach
n
Physically fit and comfortable with loading and unloading chilled and frozen goods
n
Good communication and customer service skills
n
Ability to follow delivery schedules, procedures and food safety requirements
n
Previous experience in local freight, refrigerated transport or food distribution is desirable
n
Comfortable working independently while also being part of a supportive team
