About the Role
Cinnamon Grove Cafe and Catering is seeking an experienced and qualifiedChefto join our team in Greensborough.
This is a hands-on Chef position working across ourrestaurant and café operations, as well as our catering and functions business.
The role involves the preparation and service of meals for restaurant and café customers, together with the planning, preparation and coordination of food for catering orders, functions and events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality food acrossrestaurant service, café service and commercial catering production, while maintaining consistent standards of taste, presentation, food safety and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and cook food forrestaurant and café service, catering orders, functions and events.
Coordinate commercial food production for catering and functions, ensuring preparation and service deadlines are met.
Prepare and present menu items consistently in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
Assist withrestaurant, café and catering menu planning and development.
Coordinate the preparation, timing,



packing and presentation of catering orders.
Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards across dine-in and catering operations.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and minimize food wastage.
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized and efficient commercial kitchen.
Assist with supervising and coordinating kitchen staff as required.
Skills & Experience
Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Chef in arestaurant, café, catering or similar commercial kitchen setting.
Experience inrestaurant service, large-scale food production, functions and cateringis highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during restaurant service and meet catering and function deadlines.
Good communication, organization and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for food production and service.
Availability to work a full-time roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
