Boilermaker Fabricator Component Workshop

Heavy Maintenance Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled
Boilermaker/Fabricator
for Thiess Component Rebuild Centre in Darra, Queensland. This is a Casual to full-time position based on-site at Thiess workshop facility. As a Boilermaker Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality components, contributing directly to the delivery of our products and services to clients across the industrial and maintenance sectors.

What you'll be doing
n
Fabricating components using welding, cutting, forming and joining techniques in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards
n
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate component production
n
Operating and maintaining workshop equipment including welding apparatus, cutting machines, presses, overhead cranes, fork lifts and other fabrication tools
n
Performing quality checks on components throughout the fabrication process to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications
n
Assembling and sub-assembling sections and related components in a methodical and efficient manner
n
Preparing materials and components for subsequent stages of production or client delivery
n
Maintaining a safe and clean workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
n
Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines
n
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and providing feedback on processes and equipment
n
What we're looking for
n
Australian resident/Permit to work
n
Relevant certifications such as welding tickets,
Boilermaking/Fabrication
qualifications.
n
Formal qualification in Boilermaking, fabrication or a related trade, or equivalent demonstrated experience in component fabrication
n




Proven experience working in a workshop workplace performing boilermaking and welding tasks
n
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
n
Strong competency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding as applicable to boilermaking
n
Sound knowledge of cutting, forming and joining methods used in boiler fabrication
n
Experience with workshop machinery and equipment commonly used in fabrication environments
n
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety practices and procedures
n
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to precise specifications
n
Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work effectively within a team environment
