DEPUTY DIRECTOR PRIMARY & COMMUNITY CARE
Ongoing Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight plus monthly ADO
Available from 8th November ****
The Deputy Director of Primary & Community Care (DDPCC) is a healthcare leader who is responsible for the oversight of Primary and Community Care functions at Portland District Health.
The DDPCC provides professional and operational support to the Executive Director of Clinical Services to deliver quality and protected patient, client and resident care.
The DDPCC is accountable for leading the daily clinical and community services and managing human and financial resources for functions including Maternal Child Health, Allied Health, Chronic and Complex care, Community Palliative Care, Community Aged Care, District Nursing, Hospital in the Home, and Alcohol and Other Drugs.
This newly created position supports a focus on growing and developing community and primary care services for the Portland district.
About you:
Qualified and Registered healthcare practitioner
Current AHPRA registration for relevant profession
Minimum 3 years' experience in a health management role
Post graduate/tertiary management qualifications or willingness to work towards
Demonstrated clinical leadership experience
Demonstrated knowledge of access and flow principles and the role of community care
Demonstrated experience in budget and KPI development, review andmonitoringDemonstratedknowledge and experience in quality improvement and safety and clinical governance principles; and their application to risk management within a healthcare environment, including formulating new approaches and developing comprehensive implementation strategies for primary and community services.

A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge
An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community
PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce.
The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information.
