MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our growing open cut mining operation at Nyngan, NSW. This is a permanent full-time position on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, with accommodation and meals provided.

About the role:
n
You'll be responsible for delivering practical training, coaching and competency assessments to production operators across a range of mobile mining equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Training and assessing operators on haul trucks, dozers, graders, water trucks, excavators and other mobile equipment
n
Conducting inductions, practical assessments and competency-based training
n
Delivering refresher training and operator upskilling
n




Assessing competency against relevant RII units and site requirements
n
Maintaining accurate training and competency records
n
Working with supervisors and operational leaders to identify training needs
n
Promoting protected, compliant and efficient operating practices
n
n
About you:
n
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE***** or current equivalent
n
Previous experience as a Mining Trainer, Assessor, Production Trainer or similar
n
Current RII competencies across mobile mining equipment
n
Strong knowledge of open cut mining and production operations
n
Excellent communication and coaching skills
n
The ability to build rapport with operators at varying experience levels
n
A strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality training outcomes
n
