Manaia Assist is looking for caring, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our team across Sydney and surrounding areas.

About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support participants with their individual needs and goals, following participant support plans and safety requirements while promoting participant dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
Personal care and daily living support
Community access and social participation
Meal preparation and household tasks
Development of daily living and life skills
Appointments, shopping and community activities
Emotional support and companionship
Following participant support plans and safety requirements
Completing progress notes and required documentation
About you
Compassionate and respectful
Reliable and punctual
Patient and understanding
Strong communicators
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Committed to person-centred support




Willing to learn and complete required training
NSW Driver's Licence (Required)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
Working With Children Check (Required)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Required)
NDIS Supporting Effective Communication (Required)
NDIS Supporting safe and enjoyable meals (Required)
First Aid & CPR (Required)
Infection Control Certificate (Required)
NSW Police Check, where required
Evidence of Australian work rights
Able to work 2-3 days, excluding weekends
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in disability support, community services, individual support, aged care or a related field
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification is highly regarded
