About the Prospect
n
An opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and work on an 8:6 roster.
n
Your focus will be on applying geotechnical principles to support safe mining operations, while also contributing to backfill and filling activities.
n
Your primary responsibilities will include:
n

Developing and improving the Ground Control Management Plan and monitoring systems.
n
Supporting the Senior Geotechnical Engineer with ground control, mining methods, and extraction sequences.
n
Monitoring geotechnical conditions, deformation, seismicity, and ground support systems.
n
Conducting analysis using empirical methods, numerical modelling, and rock mass classification.
n
Providing input into mine design and planning, applying lessons learnt and managing geotechnical risks.
n
Championing safety through HSEC compliance, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture.

About You
n




Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in underground mining environments.
n
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
n
n
A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Proficiency with relevant mining software packages, such as Rocscience, Deswik, or similar.
n
A current C-class manual driver's licence.
n
