Care haven Australia is currently seeking passionate, reliable, and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis. We have multiple positions available across Brisbane City and Chermside and are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people living with disabilities.

About the Role
n
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that empowers participants to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Providing personal care and daily living assistance
n
Supporting clients with community access and social activities
n
Assisting with transportation to appointments and outings
n
Medication assistance (where qualified)
n
Supporting clients with household tasks and meal preparation
n




Implementing individual support plans
n
Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
n
Promoting client choice, dignity, and independence
n
n
What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends if required

Essential Requirements
n
n
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
n
Current Australian Driver Licence
n
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
n
Full Australian working rights
n
n
Desirable Qualifications
n
Certificate III/IV qualifications are preferred but not essential.
n
Experience supporting mental health participants, managing challenging behaviours, and providing independent 1:1 supports in home and community settings is highly regarded.
