Gwandalan Summerland Medical is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our friendly and professional healthcare team on a casual basis. This role is based at our practice in Gwandalan, NSW ****. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting our GPs in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

Assisting GPs with clinical procedures and examinations
n
Taking patient histories and recording vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
n
Administering vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with current guidelines
n
Providing patient education on health conditions and preventative health measures
n
Managing wound care, dressing changes, and minor injury treatment
n
Supporting chronic disease management programmes and follow-up care
n
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
n
Ensuring the clinical environment is clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
n
Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice through effective teamwork
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Current registration with the AHPRA
n




Qualification as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN)
n
Immunisation provider status or willingness to obtain this qualification
n
Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
n
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced primary care environment
n
Commitment to patient confidentiality and qualified standards
n
Experience in general practice nursing or primary healthcare is highly desirable
n
Reliability and flexibility with casual shift availability
n
