Mesh & Bar is currently seeking 6 reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our steel manufacturing facility in Glendenning.
n
These are ongoing opportunities with full-time hours, a pathway to permanent employment, regular overtime and occasional Saturday work. Training will be provided for the right candidates.
n
The Opportunity
n
We are recruiting across a range of machine operation roles, including Offcoil, Lenton, Benders and General Steel Processing.
n
4 of the 6 positions will require Overhead Crane operation.
n
Shifts available:
n
n
Day: 6:00am – 2:06pm
n
Afternoon: 2:30pm – 10:36pm
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for candidates with:
n
n
Previous experience in manufacturing, steel processing, machine operation or a similar environment.
n
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
n
Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
n
Ability to work in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.
n
Ability to follow production instructions and use basic measuring equipment.
n
Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
Overhead/Gantry Crane experience, Forklift license, steel manufacturing experience,



threading or machine operation experience.
n
What You'll Do
n
Depending on the position, you may be responsible for:
n
n
Operating and setting up steel processing machinery.
n
Cutting, threading and processing reinforcing steel.
n
Loading and moving steel materials safely.
n
Performing quality checks and basic machine maintenance.
n
Following production schedules and maintaining a safe and organised work area.
n
n
Recruitment Process
n
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks, which may include medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening and reference checks.

We are also looking to hold an in office Recruitment Day at our Glendenning facility, providing shortlisted candidates with an chance to meet the team and learn more about the roles.

Positions are required to be filled by October.
