The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is pivotal to the coordination of safe patient care, ward management and leadership with an understanding of the 'children first & foremost' philosophy to ensure optimum service delivery.

Leads, directs and co-ordinates safe patient care
Ensures practice is safe and effective, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvements initiatives
Manages the ward effectively and within agreed allocated resources
