Crowley Hire is looking for a reliable and hands-on Casual Tilt Tray Driver & Yard Hand to join our growing team.
n
This is initially a casual position with the potential to develop into a full-time role for the right person.
n
The role combines machinery deliveries and pickups with yard duties, equipment preparation and general support across our hire operations.
n
About the Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Operating our tilt tray truck to deliver and collect hire equipment
n
Loading, unloading and safely securing excavators, access equipment and other machinery
n
Completing truck pre-starts and basic vehicle checks
n
Coordinating deliveries and pickups with customers and the Crowley Hire team
n
Cleaning and preparing machines between hires
n
Completing equipment pre-start and return inspections
n
Refuelling and greasing machinery
n
Moving equipment around the yard
n
Keeping the yard, trucks and equipment clean and organised
n
Assisting customers with equipment collections and returns
n
Reporting damage, faults or maintenance requirements
n
Assisting with basic maintenance and general yard duties
n
Supporting the wider Crowley Hire team when required
n

About You
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n
Holds a current HR Driver Licence
n
Has experience operating a tilt tray, machinery transport truck or similar vehicle
n
Understands safe load restraint and machinery transport
n
Is comfortable operating and working around earthmoving and access equipment
n
Has a strong focus on safety
n
Is reliable, punctual and organised
n
Takes pride in their work and presentation of equipment
n




Can work independently and use initiative
n
Is comfortable dealing directly with customers
n
Is flexible depending on deliveries, pickups and workload
n
Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever required
n
n
Previous experience in equipment hire, transport, earthmoving, civil construction or machinery operations would be highly regarded.
