About The Opportunity:
n
My client is an established and growing commercial construction business seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Toowoomba-based teamwith a planned commencement in January ****, or potentially earlier for the right person.
n
With a strong pipeline of secured work, this is an opportunity to take ownership of significant construction projects, leading delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
n
Upcoming projects include multi-rise accommodation and complex structural builds, and we are particularly interested in Project Managers who combine robust commercial and delivery capability with an exceptional eye for detail and quality finishes.
n
About the Role:
n
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your projects, managing programme, commercial outcomes, quality, safety and stakeholder relationships.
n
Working closely with Site Managers, Contract Administrators, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you will provide leadership across the entire project lifecycle.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Taking overall responsibility for projects from pre-construction through delivery, completion and handover
n
Managing project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance
n
Leading and supporting Site Managers, Contract Administrators and wider project teams




n
Managing subcontractor procurement, performance and delivery
n
Driving project programmes and ensuring key milestones are achieved
n
Overseeing the delivery of complex structural works and multi-rise construction
n
Maintaining a strong focus on build quality, detailing and finishes throughout the project
n
Managing client, consultant and key stakeholder relationships
n
Chairing and participating in project, design and construction meetings
n
Working closely with consultants to resolve design, documentation and construction issues
n
Identifying project risks early and implementing practical solutions
n
Monitoring cost, variations, claims, forecasting and overall project performance
n
Ensuring WHS, quality and compliance requirements are maintained
n
Providing clear reporting to senior management on programme, commercial position and project performance
n
Driving projects through practical completion, defects and successful handover
n

About You:
n
You will be an experienced construction Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and leading high-performing project teams.
n
Importantly,



you will bring experience delivering multi-rise accommodation and structural projects and have a strong understanding of the coordination and construction methodology required for these builds.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
n
Demonstrated experience delivering multi-rise accommodation projects
n
Strong experience across structural and technically complex construction
n
Relevant construction, building, engineering or tertiary qualifications
n
Strong commercial and contract management capability
n
Excellent programming, procurement and project planning skills
n
Experience leading Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teams
n
Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
n
Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
n
Strong attention to detail with a genuine focus on quality finishes
n
Ability to confidently manage clients, consultants and key stakeholders
n
Strong understanding of WHS, quality and compliance requirements
n
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
n
n
