Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Accountant, on a 12-month, maximum term contract to join our passionate team in our Ipswich office.
Subject to operational requirements, the contract may be either extended or converted to a permanent role.

The Role
As a Graduate Accountant, you'll work as part of a close-knit, high-performing team in our Ipswich office, gaining exposure to a broad range of insolvency and restructuring matters.
Our Ipswich office also supports the Toowoomba region, and you will also be supporting our Toowoomba operation.
From day one, you'll be supported through structured training, hands‐on work, and close mentoring from experienced professionals.
Your role will include:
Assisting with insolvency, restructuring and advisory engagements across corporate and personal matters
Applying accounting, analytical and problem‐solving skills to real commercial situations, including conducting investigations into breaches of director duties, voidable transactions and insolvent trading
Working within Worrells' special built systems and processes to deliver high‐quality outcomes
Learning insolvency legislation, regulatory requirements and best‐practice frameworks
Collaborating with directors, accountants, lawyers, financiers and other stakeholders




Developing technical and professional skills under close coaching and supervision
Developing your own leadership skills by delegating to and guiding Financial Assistants.
This is not a "back‐office" graduate role.
You'll be exposed to clients, complex financial data, and decision‐making early in your career.
About You
You'll ideally have:
A degree inAccounting/Commerce(or be in your final year)
Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
An ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Confidence using technology in a paperless environment
On track to meet the academic prerequisites to undertake CA or CPA qualification
No insolvency experience required, we'll train you.
