Reporting to the NSW State Manager, the Area Manager will be responsible for the Store Leaders and Sales Consultants, supporting the coaching of all roles to achieve KPI targets.
The role will motivate the store teams in maximising all initial sales and all future on-line sales.
This business-critical leadership role will drive positive sales results, create and maintain a healthy workplace culture, and lead strategic change to increase profitability.

THE ROLE
To be successful as Area Manager you will demonstrate or possess:
Strong commercial acumenand ability to apply solid commercial judgment
Superior knowledge ofproduct, services and proceduresincluding customer care sales process
Drive performanceby ensuring that portfolio and individual sales targets, KPIs and compliance obligationsare achieved
Work with Inventory Management tomanage and control stockensuring the right product is allocated and replenished




Maintenance upkeep, training and upholdingoperational excellence, i.e. store appearance, visual merchandising, dress code and behaviour
Provide timely feedback to State Managerin relation to their business area including operations and colleagues' performance.
Build and maintain collaborative, cohesive relations with the support office teams
Identify talent to support growth initiative and development withsuccession planning.
Manage customer complaints in a timely manner and identify trends or issues,implementing improvementand escape where required
Conduct regular one-to-one performance reviews with direct reports to provide feedback andidentify areas of improvementacross all reporting levels
Cultivate aninclusive, inspirational environmentthrough consistent team recognition
In summary we need a leader who can get the job done, but also develop key relationships with peers and key stakeholders remotely.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Our next Area Manager will possess:
Ability toengage and present persuasivelyto Senior Management
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a multi-site managerwith a proven track record leading and managing 5 plus retail stores across a geographic spread
Robust financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data insights andidentify business and commercial risks and opportunities
Demonstrated experience andcapability with change management, successfully leading teams through ambiguity
Strong influencing, negotiating and communications skillsboth written and verbal
Continued presenceamongst all locations and shifts in this highly visible role.
Retail sales background is highly preferredfor this role.
