PremiAir Racing is seeking an experienced and highly skilledMotorsport Fabricatorto join our Supercars team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused fabricator to work within a professional, fast-paced motorsport environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for producing, modifying and repairing high-quality components to support the preparation and performance of our race cars.
Key responsibilities
Fabrication, modification and repair of race car components
TIG and MIG welding of aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
Manufacture of brackets, mounts, ducting, pipework and other custom components
Sheet metal fabrication and tube work
Repair of damaged components and body structures
Reading and interpreting drawings, measurements and technical specifications
Working closely with engineers and mechanics to develop practical solutions
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and presentation
Assisting with general race car preparation when required
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
About you
You will ideally have:
Previous fabrication experience within motorsport, automotive or a similar high-performance environment
Strong TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication skills
Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
A relevant trade qualification, although extensive practical experience will also be considered
Experience with Supercars or professional-level motorsport would be highly regarded.
The role may require versatile working hours, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the racing calendar.
