Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager
, we are looking for an experienced
Warehouse Team Leader
to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and execution of warehouse operations.
n
The successful candidate will lead by example, setting daily priorities, delegating workloads and ensuring picking, receiving, dispatch and other warehouse activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
n
A key focus of the role will be maintaining high standards of
warehouse organisation, cleanliness and operational discipline
. You will take ownership of these standards across the team, applying 5S principles to ensure stock, equipment and work areas are maintained correctly and consistently.
n
You will also play an active role in identifying and supporting operational improvements, reinforcing established processes and contributing to improvements in safety, workflow and efficiency.
Responsibilities Team Leadership & Daily Operations n
n
Manage the daily warehouse workload, delegating tasks and ensuring operational priorities are completed safely, accurately and within required timeframes
n
Maintain strong standards of productivity, workmanship and accountability across the warehouse team
n
Provide practical leadership, direction and support to team members throughout daily operations
n
Promote a positive and productive team environment with a strong focus on efficiency and operational standards
n




Support the training and development of warehouse staff to ensure procedures and expected standards are understood and consistently followed
n
Warehouse Operations n
n
Pick and pack customer orders
n
Lead and participate in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
n
Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
n
Oversee the physical preparation and staging of orders for dispatch
n
Ensure incoming goods are received, handled and stored correctly
n
Ensure the safe and effective movement and storage of palletised, bulky and oversized goods
n
Maintain accurate and organised stock locations
n
Ensure loading, picking, receiving and dispatch activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures
n
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation in line with
5S principles
n
Ensure stock, equipment and materials are stored correctly and designated areas are kept clean, organised and accessible
n
Reinforce warehouse standards and procedures across the team
n
Support safety procedures, toolbox talks and hazard reporting
n
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow and warehouse layout
n
Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of practical improvements to warehouse processes and operations
n
About You n




You are a capable warehouse professional with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and demonstrated experience providing direction and leadership within a warehouse environment.
n
You are confident delegating work, maintaining accountability and ensuring daily operational requirements are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
n
You take pride in running a clean, organised and efficient operation and understand the importance of maintaining established processes, designated storage locations and consistent housekeeping standards.
Experience Required n
n
Minimum
5 years warehouse experience
n
Demonstrated experience
leading, directing or delegating work within a warehouse team
n
Robust picking, receiving, loading and dispatch experience
n
Experience with the movement and storage of
palletised, bulky and oversized goods
n
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety requirements
n
Knowledge and practical understanding of
5S principles
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Reliable with a strong work ethic
n
Robust verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction to staff
n
Ability to identify and support operational improvements
n
Basic computer skills
n
