We're a fast-growing wellness brand based in the Byron Bay region, and we're looking for a sharp, commercially minded Finance Analyst to join our team.
n
This isn't your traditional finance role.
n
You'll be part of a creative, energetic and fast-moving business where finance sits at the heart of the decisions we make - from what we buy and how we trade, to where we invest and how we grow.
n
And because we believe great work doesn't need to happen behind the same desk five days a week, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely, balanced with time alongside the team in the Byron Bay / Ballina area.

The Role:
n
You'll help turn numbers into decisions.
n
Working across finance, eCommerce, retail, operations and leadership, you'll give the business a clear picture of what's happening, why it's happening and where the opportunities are.
n
One day you might be analysing product margins and sell-through. The next, building a forecast, digging into inventory performance or helping leadership understand where we should focus next.
n
You'll be responsible for:
n
n
Weekly and monthly sales, margin and performance reporting
n
Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow analysis
n
Analysing revenue, gross margin, operating costs and profitability
n
Tracking actual performance against budgets and forecasts
n
Product, category and channel profitability analysis
n
Inventory, stock turn, markdown and sell-through analysis
n
Creating clear dashboards and commercial reporting
n
Identifying trends,



risks and growth opportunities
n
Supporting month-end and management reporting
n
Partnering with teams across the business to improve commercial decision-making
n
Continuously finding smarter ways to improve our financial reporting and processes
n

Who You Are
n
You love the detail, but you can also zoom out and see the bigger picture.
n
You're naturally curious. If something changes in the numbers, you want to understand why.
n
You can take a spreadsheet full of information and turn it into something the wider team can actually understand and act on.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
Experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, management accounting or a similar role
n
Solid Excel / Google Sheets skills
n
Solid knowledge of P&L;, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
n
Strong commercial and analytical thinking
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Confidence communicating financial information to non-finance teams
n
The ability to move quickly and juggle priorities without losing your cool
n
Experience in fashion, retail, eCommerce or consumer brands would be a big advantage
n
Experience with BI, ERP or inventory platforms is highly regarded
n
n
CA/CPA qualifications are welcomed, but we're equally interested in your experience, commercial instincts and how you think.
