Job Description
A CBD based hotel pub group with five venues is looking for a passionate, motivated, well-presented hospitality professional to plan and co-ordinate a range of events, functions, and customer bookings. Clientele includes the corporate sector, private, local & International promoters & govt. departments.

With the support of a team you will oversee and manage the entire event cycle from inquiry, negotiation and conversion, planning and execution, to reporting and identifying opportunities for further growth.

Responsibilities include:

Generating leads and contacts and drive a high conversion rate
n
Handling inquiries, sales and site inspections
n
Co-ordination of reserved area bookings, events and promotions
n
Produce booking agreements, run sheets, and floor plans for each event
n
Managing and building client database
n
The ability to develop and nurture new and existing client business relationships
n
Work closely with Venue Managers and Senior Management to ensure smooth running of planned events
n
n
Skills & Requirements include:




n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in an function and event sales/ management role
n
Outgoing personality with a proactive approach, who can develop relationships, build rapport with various market sectors and jump on the phones to chase business
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
Multitasker with excellent time management and administrative skills
n
The ability to work to deadlines
n
High standards of personal presentation
n
A preferred background in pubs or venues
n
Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or Event Management an advantage
n
Momentus Elite event software knowledge advantageous
n
