Job Description
Auto Ingress Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, fabrication, welding and finishing of metal components and structures in accordance with technical drawings, specifications and job requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
n
Select, clean and prepare metal stock for fabrication and welding
n
Measure, mark and cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, cutting equipment and machinery
n
Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools
n
Align and position components using measuring instruments and hand tools
n
Join metal sections using appropriate welding techniques, bolting and riveting
n
Inspect completed welds for bead width, penetration, accuracy and overall quality




n
Clean, grind and smooth welds and completed components
n
Finish fabricated products by polishing, filing and other appropriate finishing techniques
n

Skill & Experience
n
About you
n
n
Relevant trade qualifications in welding, fabrication or a related field
n
Relevant experience working as a Welder or in a similar trade position
n
Demonstrated experience with metal fabrication and welding techniques
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
Experience using welding, cutting, grinding and metal fabrication equipment
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds
n
A robust commitment to workplace health and safety
