Position Details
We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Primary Physical Education Teacher to join our team at St John Bosco College.
This position is a part-time (0.6FTE) ongoing position, commencing on January 1, ****.
St John Bosco College is a Catholic co-educational College in its eleventh year of operation.
The College is situated in Piara Waters, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia.
We commenced in **** with students from Kindergarten to Year 2.
In ****, we have **** students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, as well as an OSHC facility.
Our innovative building design has a focus on shared, flexible learning spaces which support best practice, 21st century teaching and learning methods.
The College motto "JOY IN LEARNING" is strongly exemplified in the person, life and teachings of our patron, St John Bosco.
Selection Criteria
A strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of Catholic Education and St John Bosco College and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Bosco community.
Have a commitment to Child Safety and Protection consistent with the CEWA Child Safe Framework
Be an enthusiastic, flexible, and cooperative educator who will work collaboratively with all staff.
Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm to build community by participating fully in College activities in collaboration with staff, parents, students and the St Francis Xavier Parish.
Be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management,



build positive relationships and engage in one-to-one pastoral conversations with students and families.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and excellent communication and organisational skills.
Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the ability to plan, implement and assess engaging and differentiated Physical Education learning experiences to promote student participation, skill development and achievement.
Be able to develop Physical Education programs that take advantage of relevant research evidence and are refined and enhanced through reflection, analysis of data and ongoing qualified learning.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to assist in the coordination of College sport carnivals and extracurricular events.
Qualifications Required
A willingness to complete Accreditation requirements as specified by Catholic Education WA.
Relevant four-year tertiary qualifications
Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment.
