A well-established CNC engineering company specialising in precision machining is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join our team. We welcome applications from school leavers, and/or individuals from groups specialised in engineering and manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent HSC graduate or junior candidate looking to build a rewarding career in engineering and advanced manufacturing. No previous trade experience is required. Please note that this apprenticeship is intended for entry-level applicants, and university graduates are generally not suited to this role.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will gain hands-on experience manufacturing high-precision components and assemblies for the timber, mining, and aerospace industries while completing a nationally recognised trade qualification.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist qualified tradespeople with machining, fitting, and assembly tasks
n
Operate CNC and conventional machinery under supervision
n
Participate in CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and advanced manufacturing activities
n
Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs
n




Perform general workshop duties as required
n
Learn and apply engineering and manufacturing best practices
n
Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
n

About You

A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing, and technology
n
Strong mathematical ability (Year 12 Mathematics preferred)
n
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
n
Basic computer skills
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
n
The ability to work safely in a workshop environment
n
