About The Role
n
We are looking for an experienced and values‐driven Residential Services Manager to lead our Palmwoods Care Centre — a warm, highly regarded 71‐room home, including a dedicated 14‐bed Memory Support Unit (MSU), set among the established gardens of our integrated Palmwoods Garden Village community. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll take overall responsibility for the day‐to‐day operations, care quality, culture and performance of the home. Working Monday to Friday, reporting to the Operations Manager and supported by an on‐site Clinical Manager, you'll have the structure and support to lead well while enjoying genuine work‐life balance. You'll be joining Sundale — the Sunshine Coast's longest‐serving aged care provider — at an exciting time of growth and investment across the region.

What You'll Do




n

Lead the day‐to‐day operations of the Palmwoods Care Centre, ensuring the home runs smoothly, safely and sustainably
n
Take overall accountability for the home's performance, including operational and clinical governance and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
n
Ensure residents receive reliable, high‐quality, person‐centred care in line with contemporary care standards
n
Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary team and foster an engaged, positive and accountable culture
n
Manage the home's financial sustainability by contributing to budgets and meeting targets across AN‐ACC, occupancy and wage costs
n
Drive continuous improvement through auditing, risk management, feedback and evidence‐based practice
n
Build genuine, professional relationships with residents, families and external partners
n

About You
n
You are an experienced aged care leader who combines robust operational capability with a genuine commitment to residents, families and team members.
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Demonstrated senior leadership experience within residential aged care.
n
Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Check.
n
Ability to complete a pre‐employment medical assessment.
n
Strong knowledge of clinical governance, regulatory compliance and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
n
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
n
Experience managing operational performance, budgets, occupancy, workforce costs and AN-ACC.
