Perform commissioning, testing, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications of solar photovoltaic systems
n
Supervise contractors to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely maintenance activities
n
Respond to customer service calls and automated remote alarm notifications
n
Perform field start-up and commissioning functions, including pre-commissioning protocols, acceptance tests, and customer training
n
Keep current with product technology through troubleshooting, repairs, and instructing others
n
Promote strict adherence to company safety protocols
n
Oversee field personnel and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
n
Conduct and document training on Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief, and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures
n
Train personnel on safety, environmental, and procedural requirements
n
Communicate with remote operators
n
Coordinate project planning, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing
n
Write and enforce work and equipment testing instructions and operating procedures
n
Ensure work orders are completed
n
Prepare procurement and vendor-service documentation
n
Review, complete, submit, and file required documentation and reports
n
Communicate cross-functionally to resolve plant issues
n
Attend and pass assigned safety, environmental, and other training
n
Maintain work areas and site housekeeping to 5S standards
n
Travel as required by regional needs
n
Perform other duties as assigned
n
Requirements n
n
1-2 years of experience in a related position, or recent electrical engineering graduate
n
2 years supervisory experience
n
Technical School Diploma
n
Ability to supervise contractors in the field and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence
n
Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions,



and conduct analysis independently and collaboratively
n
Ability to work comfortably in potentially remote field conditions and manage multiple tasks and projects
n
Ability to work in difficult customer situations
n
Available for 24-hour on-call duty
n
Strong electrical background
n
Proven computer skills in a Windows environment, including Excel and Word
n
Ability to use Maximo
n
Familiarity with electronic control systems preferred
n
Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
n
College degree preferred
n
NABCEP certification a plus
n
