About the role
n
Materis currently seeking applications for Ward Services Assistants to work within our
housekeeping/orderly
departmenton a casual basis. These roles will be based at our Mater Hospital Springfield campus.
n
Please note full availability is essentialin these roles. You will be required to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 6am through to 6am, completing 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rotating roster. Actual hours will be discussed at interview.
n
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus 23% casual loading plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing
n
The Ward Services team is a welcoming and friendly team who work collaboratively in a variety of areas, including, Waste Services, Linen Services, Equipment
Delivery/Collection/Orderly/Porterage
Services. You will be assisting our Loading Dock with cleaning
n
The purpose of this role is to uphold our exemplary hygiene standards by providing high level of care to our patients.
n
About you
n
To ensure our new team member can hit the ground running and contribute immediately, you will have significant experience in Ward/Orderly or previous hospital ward roles and you will be comfortable with manual handling/lifting.



Food services and Administration experience are not necessary to perform the role.

As you will frequently be around patients, you will be an effective communicator with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
